Ex-airline trustee joins Blue Wolf

Joshua Gotbaum, who guided Hawaiian Airlines as trustee during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy, has joined Blue Wolf Capital Management LLC, a New York-based private equity firm, as an operating partner.
In addition to his appointment at the firm, Gotbaum will serve as chairman and chief restructuring officer of Platform Learning Inc., an educational services provider that has been operating in bankruptcy since June. Blue Wolf is financing Platform while it is in bankruptcy.
ISLE DESTINATIONS ON TOP PARTY LIST
Five destinations in Hawai'i are among the top party spots for New Year's Eve, according to a survey by Internet travel reservations site Priceline.com Inc.
The survey based on more than 30,000 booking requests, lists the top 50 locales. Maui's Kihei and Wailea/Makena resort areas are the top spots listed in Hawai'i at No. 19 and 20. Ka'anapali/Lahaina, also on Maui, ranked 27th. "Waikiki South" was the 29th location in the survey.
Kahului, Maui, rounded out the listing of top Hawai'i party spots being booked by travelers, at No. 39.
The Las Vegas Strip rated as the top spot, followed by two districts of New York City.
TOYOTA EXECS, FORD CEO MEET
DETROIT — Ford Motor Co. Chief Executive Officer Alan Mulally met in Japan last week with senior Toyota Motor Corp. executives, including Toyota's chairman, Fujio Cho.
The companies would not publicly acknowledge the meeting, but Ford showed interest in Toyota's hybrid and fuel-cell technology as well as its manufacturing methods, according to a report by a Japanese newspaper, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
"At this point in time, we're at a stage where we're just talking over what" the two companies "could do together," a Toyota official told the Japanese paper.
