Pac-Five turns back Punahou, 12-11

Joedee Lovell's RBI single capped a four-run seventh inning as Pac-Five beat host Punahou, 12-11, in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu softball game yesterday.
The Wolfpack took a 12-8 lead into the bottom of the seventh and held off the Buffanblu, who scored three runs but left the tying run on first when Pac-Five centerfielder Chante Tesoro snagged a line drive for the final out.
Pac-Five had seven of its 14 hits, all singles, during its seventh-inning rally. Courtney Gibo drove in three runs and Tesoro scored three times for the Wolfpack (3-3).
Jasmine Ioane had a triple, double and three RBIs, and Marisa Murakami was 4 for 6 and three other players had multiple hits for the Buffanblu (1-5).

Kai Masutani's two-run single highlighted a five-run fifth inning as the Raiders (5-1) beat the Lancers (2-4) at Crane Park. Sacred Hearts out-hit 'Iolani, 8-5, but also committed four errors. Joslyn Eugenio went 2 for 4 with a homer for the Lancers and Noel Soma added a double.
