Look for Sorvino at the Hard Rock

Actress Mira Sorvino ("Romy," "Michelle's High School Reunion," "Summer of Sam") is scheduled to be on hand at the Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu today as host of a U2 pre-concert show that begins at noon today. U2 tribute band Matt Easter and Vertigo USA will perform such tunes as "One" and "Beautiful Day," with music from 1:30 p.m.

At 3 p.m., Sorvino is slated to meet and greet folks who will attend the highly anticipated U2 concert tonight at Aloha Stadium; there will be a raffle for VIP wristbands. But sighting Sorvino will cost you: $68 for the show, or $80 with a ride to and from the stadium.

Meanwhile, sightings of the Irish rockers have begun. Bono, The Edge, Rocko and the Devils and other roadies here for the gig gathered for their own pre-show hoopla Wednesday night at Osaké restaurant on Kapi'olani Boulevard, with caterers providing the grinds.

COSTELLO, KRALL HAVE TWIN BOYS

NEW YORK — Elvis Costello and wife Diana Krall are the parents of twin boys.

The new arrivals — named Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James — were born on Wednesday. The births came on the couple's third wedding anniversary.

Costello, 52, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer known for such songs as "Veronica," "Pump It Up" and "Alison." He most recently collaborated with Allen Toussaint on the album "The River in Reverse." Krall, 42, a jazz singer, released her latest album, "From This Moment On," in September.

PITT, JOLIE TAKE IN MASTERPIECE

MILL RUN, Pa. — Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie visited Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural masterpiece, where they celebrated the actor's upcoming birthday, Fallingwater's curator of education said.

The unique home spans Mill Run, a creek that flows through woods about 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Wright built the home for department store magnate Edgar Kaufmann Sr. in the 1930s. The American Institute of Architects voted it the "Building of the 20th Century."

SNIPES TURNS SELF IN ON TAX COUNTS

OCALA, Fla. — Wesley Snipes surrendered to authorities to face federal tax fraud charges and was released on $1 million bond, two months after he was indicted in central Florida.

The actor, known for films such as the "Blade" trilogy, didn't speak at a court appearance yesterday. He went there after arriving in Orlando on a private jet from the African nation of Namibia, where he has been filming "Gallow Walker," his publicist said.
