After previously attending Honolulu Waldorf and playing volleyball for La Pietra (Waldorf did not have a team), Sabrina Blanco eventually found a home on the court at Kalaheo.

The Mustangs benefitted, winning the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Division II championship, and Blanco was rewarded with OIA East DII Player of the Year honors.

Blanco, a 5-foot-7 senior outside hitter, is joined on the East DII all-star first team by Kalaheo senior teammate Briana Elliott.

Kaimuki and Kaiser also placed two players each on the first team. Kaimuki was represented by senior Alyssia Fiamate and junior Genesis Teixeira-Fruean. Kaiser placed seniors Courtney Kandler and Carianne Makino.

'Anuenue junior Kanoelani Na'o rounds out the first team. Kandler, a setter, and Makino, a libero, are repeat selections.

Kalaheo's Hoku Liu, in her first season at the Mustangs helm, was named Coach of the Year. The Mustangs had lost 12 seniors from last season.
