HPU rallies past Saint Martin's, 65-60

Mickey Wheeler scored 21 points, including three free throws in the final minutes as Hawai'i Pacific rallied to beat Saint Martin's (Wash.), 65-60, last night at Mid-Pacific Gym.
HPU (3-1) trailed 51-49 with just under four minutes left, then outscored SMU (2-4), 16-9 the rest of the way.
At Bellingham, Wash., Lukas Henne scored 27 points to lead Western Washington to a 75-67 victory over Hawai'i-Hilo.
Steve Severin added 16 points and 10 rebounds for WWU (5-1). Michael Martin scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead UH-Hilo (2-4).
In a women's game at Lacey, Wash., Sade Smith had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Saint Martin's past Hawai'i-Hilo, 85-49.
Amber Harmon had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Krissy Bassett had 10 points and 10 boards for SMU (3-4). Ashley Kualii scored 13 points and Amy Kaaiakamanu 10 for UHH (0-4).
