Stadium letting in fundraisers

The company that operates the food and beverage concessions at Aloha Stadium says there are still openings for nonprofit organizations that want to conduct fundraising events during Friday and Saturday night football games at the stadium.
Organizations must have a minimum of 20 members above age 18 to qualify, according to Centerplate, which also runs food and beverage concessions at seven other Hawai'i locations. The nonprofit organizations will be granted permission to operate at the stadium in exchange for 10 percent of their net sales. For more information, visit centerplatehawaii.com.
HORIZON SETS TERMS FOR IPO
WASHINGTON — Container-shipping company Horizon Lines Inc. yesterday set the terms for an initial public offering of stock worth as much as $265 million.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based company, which provides shipping service to Hawai'i, will offer up to 15.6 million shares at $15 to $17 apiece, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The shares are expected to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol HRZ.
DELTA ADDING HAWAI'I FLIGHTS
CINCINNATI — Debt-plagued Delta Air Lines Inc. said yesterday it will add flights to Hawai'i in a move to increase profits.
Delta plans to add its first nonstop service between Atlanta and Maui starting Dec. 16, and one-stop service from Atlanta to Kailua, Kona, Hawai'i, via Salt Lake City, starting Dec. 1. The two additional flights bring to 11 the number of daily trips between Hawai'i and the Mainland, Delta said.
AIR-REFUELING ALLIANCE FORMED
LOS ANGELES — North-rop Grumman Corp. said yesterday it will team up with the parent of European aircraft-maker Airbus to bid for a contract to build a new refueling plane for the U.S. military.
The move pits Northrop and the North American unit of the European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. against Chicago-based Boeing Co. in a battle to build a replacement for the Air Force's KC-135 air tanker.
