TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"House," 8 p.m., Fox. Early in this terrific episode, it is clear Dr. Robert Chase made a fatal mistake. He was distracted and failed to ask basic questions. Now Stacy Warner (Sela Ward) — a hospital lawyer and House's ex-love — defends him. This is classic "House" — smart, involving and occasionally quite funny.

OF NOTE

"The Biggest Loser," 7 p.m., NBC. The finale: Three contestants compete to have the biggest weight loss.

"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. McGee (Sean Murray) is in trouble. He shot someone who turned out to be an undercover cop.

"According to Jim," 7 p.m., ABC. Linda Hamilton, the "Terminator" star, guests, playing Jim's former college girlfriend. Jim's wife Cheryl encourages him to dine with her — then is bummed when the two consider going into business together.

"Rodney," 7:30 p.m., ABC. Rodney has mixed emotions, after his comedy act goes over well at a gay club.

"Commander in Chief," 8 p.m., ABC. Mark-Paul Gosselaar plays a political operative who pushes Mac (Geena Davis) to start an election campaign. Meanwhile, Mac's mom (Polly Bergen) is arriving for Thanksgiving.

"The Ten Most Fascinating People of 2005," 9 p.m., ABC. Barbara Walters hosts her annual special, with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and "War of the Worlds" stars Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning.
